Antonio Latuff joined the oil industry in October the 3rd, 1950. He has over forty years of experience and retired by the end of February 1994; however, in December 2002, he joined Paraguaná Refining Center rescue forces (CRP). Antonio is one among the many retired workers who answered the government call never allowing the dark and criminal interests of the coup d’ etat leaders and supporters to paralyze the country.
This New PDVSA founder highlights teamwork as the greatest contribution of workers to recover national industry from those intending to make the Venezuelans bend on their knees through the strike-sabotage. Latuff reassures that the key elements for defeating the coup d’etat were the experience, loyalty, conviction and commitment that every New PDVSA worker have set ahead.
Antonio remarks that in order to speed up the oil industry development for the benefit of the Venezuelan people, it is crucial to break persistent barriers and vices. “It is necessary to optimize our current operating activities through a planning that allows higher productivity levels and to set more and more challenging goals in order to remain at the head of the international industry”.
Antonio Latuff also stresses: “We succeeded in helping the treasured industry of all Venezuelans rise. Now our greatest challenge is to maintain the technical and operating efficiency, with maximum safety and satisfaction of our human resources; in other words, to achieve a state of well-being for both the workers and the whole country.”
