“I can still remember the hundreds of people in endless queues for their gas containers, the scarcity of food, the lack of emergency services and police patrols due to the short supply of gasoline”, she added as she praised the hard work of all the refinery workers, who did their best in trying circumstances to save the plants from a potentially dangerous stoppage.

Rosa goes on to highlight the fact that they managed to efficiently stabilize and operate the plants in record time. She asserts that their philosophy must be to continue in a non-stop effort to optimize the processes, and thus the effectiveness of the oil business.

The greatest challenge for the New PDVSA workers, says this Process Engineer, lies in “keeping the operating continuity of industry, increasing its production capacity and implementing new technologies in order to reach the highest reliability, safety, and effectiveness levels. These elements stand as spearheads for strengthening the Venezuelan economy, national development, quality of life, and Venezuelan self-management”.
